Vehicle Technician focuses on carrying out servicing, maintenance and repairs on a wide range of vehicles.

What the role involves

• Carrying out servicing, maintenance and repairs on a wide range of vehicles.
• Mechanical repairs including brakes, clutches, suspension and timing components.
• Diagnostic fault finding using modern workshop equipment.
• Supporting MOT preparation and general inspection work.
• Occasional exposure to body repair and structural work within the wider workshop.
• Ensuring all work is completed to a high standard and within agreed timeframes.

Skills and requirements

• Qualified at Level 3 (or equivalent time-served experience).
• Solid all-round workshop experience (minimum 2–3 years preferred).
• Confident in routine servicing and mechanical repair work.
• Ability to diagnose faults and work independently where required.

Confirmed role details

• Outskirts of Northampton (commutable from Bedford.
• Up to £40,000 basic (depending on experience).
• Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm.
• Overtime: Occasional Saturdays available, paid at time and a half.
