Our South Shields Quays practice have new owners and is entering a fantastic new era and they are looking for a Veterinary Surgeon to join them!
An exciting opportunity has arisen at our small animal practice in South Shields Quays Vets for Pets for an enthusiastic Veterinary Surgeon to join our friendly and welcoming team.
The practice is located inside Pets at Home in the centre of town within walking distance to the beautiful coast. Main transport links are nearby and convenient access to the A19 and A1.
The surgery is purpose built and fully equipped allowing excellent clinical care to be achieved. The practice will be made up of 2 Vets, 4 nurses, 1 Veterinary Care Assistant, 1 Practice Manager & 4 Client Care Advisors. However, the practice’s sister practice has a strong, stable clinical team that offer support and will work between the 2 practices.
Work/life balance is taken seriously at South Shields Quays as we think a happier team is a better performing team, our diary is managed to a level where our vets don’t feel overloaded and the support from our nursing team certainly makes work a pleasant experience for all involved.
Our surgery is purpose built to deliver the highest clinical standards and provides excellent facilities including internal laboratory stations, ultrasound, and radiograph diagnostic imaging. Giving you access to all the equipment and space you need to care for your patients.
The practice already has a loyal client base with the potential for further growth, and cases can be worked up locally giving you the opportunity to develop any specific interests you have, with certification encouraged and fully funded. We’re also keen to learn new things from you, so if you have previously done CPD, we want to hear all about it! We’re always open to trialling new ideas and work closely together with the aim of providing the best care for our patients and a great client experience from phone call to consult.
We are able to accommodate either full time or part time hours with 1 in 3 Saturdays, no OOH or Sunday shifts.
