Waking Night Support Worker

This Support Worker opportunity with About you is built around supporting oversee shift-by-shift operations and maintain performance standards. It would suit someone who can bring commitment to the protection and safeguarding to young people at risk of abuse or harm to the role.
Role overview
Supporting the children, ensuring safeguarding policies and procedures are implemented during the night. Supporting daytime staff with setting a night time environment for the children.

Requirements
- Ability to identify and record any safeguarding issues in accordance with the Residential Home and Achieving for Children’s Safeguarding procedures.
- Ability to assess risk and generate solutions to problems, strong analytical and planning skills, and the ability to assess and review young people’s needs.
- Due to the nature of working in Children’s Homes, enhanced vetting is required. This includes reviewing your full employment history from the point you left school.
Job details
- 29 days annual leave, increasing to 33 days after 2 years and 35 days after 4 years with an additional day off in your birthday month (Or for term-time workers, your leave entitlem.

- This role requires shift work across all 7 days of the week, throughout the full year, including Christmas, New Year and other bank holidays.
- Tailored induction sessions commencing on the date you start working for AfC.
