What the role involves
- Supporting patients throughout their inpatient surgical journey within a Urology ward setting.
- Assisting nursing staff in delivering high standards of patient-centred care.
- Record patient observations accurately, escalating concerns appropriately.
- Assisting with stock control, equipment checks, and general housekeeping duties to maintain a safe clinical environment.
- Provide compassionate, professional, and dignified care to all patients.
Skills and requirements
- Currently practising, or has practised, as a Ward HCA within a surgical or inpatient setting for a minimum of 6 months within the last 12 months.
- Proven experience working in the NHS.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary theatre team.
