Waste and Cleansing HGV/LGV Driver (EPR)

Waste and Cleansing /Driver focuses on driving and take responsibility for our waste & cleansing vehicles (up to hgv).

What the role involves

• Driving and take responsibility for our Waste & Cleansing vehicles (up to HGV).
• Support a crew of up to 4 operatives, mentoring new drivers and helping the team succeed.
• Delivering a wide range of services: refuse, recycling, street cleansing, and winter gritting support.
• Always ensure safety – for yourself, your crew, and the public.
• Carry out daily vehicle checks, basic maintenance, and keep vehicles roadworthy and presentable.

Skills and requirements

• Hold a Category C (HGV Class II) driving licence.
• Have a valid Driver CPC card.
• Will work between 14:00-22:00 (2pm till 10pm Monday to Thursday and 2pm till 9.30pm on Fridays).
• Experience/knowledge of the safe operation and driving vehicles such as refuse collection vehicles, gritters and mainline sweepers.

Confirmed role details

• 37 hours per week - working 14:00-22:00.
• Starting Salary is £28,598 – £31,022 per annum (pro rata for Part Time) (Pay award pending).
• Eastcroft Depot, London Road, Nottingham, NG2 3AH.
