Year 1 Teacher focuses on teachers are encouraged to deliver creative, engaging, and differentiated lessons that inspire pupils and help them build confidence and independence in their learning.

What the role involves

• Teachers are encouraged to deliver creative, engaging, and differentiated lessons that inspire pupils and help them build confidence and independence in their learning.
• As a Year 1 Teacher, you will plan.
• Deliver engaging lessons in line with the Year 1 curriculum.
• Monitor, and track pupil progress effectively.
• Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all pupils, including SEN and EAL.
• Promote positive behaviour, independence, and resilience.

Skills and requirements

• Relevant teaching, classroom, childcare, QTS, SEN, safeguarding, or early-years experience may be required.

Candidate fit

• Hold QTS (Qualified Teacher Status).
• Have recent experience teaching in KS1, ideally Year 1.
• Have strong classroom management and planning skills.
