Year 2 Teacher focuses on the successful year 2 teacher will deliver a sequenced year 2 curriculum, secure progress in reading, writing and mathematics.

What the role involves

• The successful Year 2 Teacher will deliver a sequenced Year 2 curriculum, secure progress in reading, writing and mathematics.
• Lead SATs preparation and transition activities where applicable.

Skills and requirements

• Relevant teaching, classroom, childcare, QTS, SEN, safeguarding, or early-years experience may be required.

Confirmed role details

• Permanent, Full-Time.
• As Year 2 Teacher, you will: plan day-to-day lessons.
• Lead phonics reinforcement and small-group catch-ups, moderate assessment with colleagues.
• The Year 2 Teacher will participate in phase meetings, contribute to curriculum development.

Candidate fit

• QTS or equivalent and proven experience as a Year 2 Teacher.
• Secure knowledge of KS1 expectations and strong assessment skills as a Year 2 Teacher.
