Year 2 Teacher focuses on delivering lessons in line with the ks1 curriculum.

What the role involves

• Delivering lessons in line with the KS1 curriculum.
• Supporting pupils in preparing for end-of-Key Stage assessments.
• Develop phonics, reading comprehension and numeracy skills.
• Create a calm and consistent classroom environment.
• Work with teaching assistants to support learning in class.
• Communicate with parents and carers when needed.

Skills and requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Experience teaching in Key Stage 1 (Year 2 experience preferred).
• Ability to plan and adapt lessons for different learning needs.
• Access to planning resources and curriculum support.

Confirmed role details

• Pay: £140 - £180 Per Day.

Additional role context

• Start Date: September 2026.
• We are looking to appoint a Year 2 Teacher to join a primary school in the NG2 area of Nottingham.
• Be responsible for delivering the Year 2 curriculum, with a particular focus on building confidence in reading, writing and maths ahead of SATs assessments later in the year.
