Year 2 Teacher

Year 2 Teacher focuses on prepare pupils for end-of-ks1 assessments where relevant, and champion a love of learning across the year group.

What the role involves

• Prepare pupils for end-of-KS1 assessments where relevant, and champion a love of learning across the year group.
• The incoming Year 2 Teacher will lead sequenced lessons that consolidate reading, writing and number skills.
• The Year 2 Teacher will be expected to plan differentiated learning.
• Deliver engaging Year 2 lessons that meet the needs of all learners.
• Leading targeted interventions to accelerate pupil progress.
• Maintaining accurate assessment records and contribute to moderation activities.

Skills and requirements

• Relevant teaching, classroom, childcare, QTS, SEN, safeguarding, or early-years experience may be required.

Candidate fit

• Qualified teacher with strong recent experience in KS1.
• Proven track record delivering progress in reading, writing and maths.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to inspire young learners.
