What the role involves
- Prepare pupils for end-of-KS1 assessments where relevant, and champion a love of learning across the year group.
- The incoming Year 2 Teacher will lead sequenced lessons that consolidate reading, writing and number skills.
- The Year 2 Teacher will be expected to plan differentiated learning.
- Deliver engaging Year 2 lessons that meet the needs of all learners.
- Leading targeted interventions to accelerate pupil progress.
- Maintaining accurate assessment records and contribute to moderation activities.
Skills and requirements
- Relevant teaching, classroom, childcare, QTS, SEN, safeguarding, or early-years experience may be required.
Candidate fit
- Qualified teacher with strong recent experience in KS1.
- Proven track record delivering progress in reading, writing and maths.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to inspire young learners.
