  • Deliver, and assess high-quality lessons across the Year 5 curriculum.
  • Create a structured, engaging, and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all pupils, including SEND and EAL.
  • Promote positive behaviour, independence, and strong learning habits.
  • Preparing pupils for the academic and emotional demands of Year 6.

Skills and requirements

  • Relevant teaching, classroom, childcare, QTS, SEN, safeguarding, or early-years experience may be required.

Candidate fit

  • We are seeking a confident, motivated, and committed Year 5 Teacher to join a welcoming and high-performing primary school in Surbiton, starting as soon as possible.
  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Have experience teaching in Upper Key Stage 2, ideally Year 5.

Additional role context

  • As the Year 5 Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering a broad and balanced curriculum while preparing pupils for the increased expectations of Year 6.
