  • Play a key role in guiding Year 5 pupils through a vital stage of Key Stage 2 as they prepare for upper KS2 challenges and eventually transition to Year 6.
  • Support all learners in Year 5.
  • Deliver high-quality, engaging, and well-structured lessons that stretch, challenge.
  • Use a strong understanding of the upper KS2 curriculum to deliver creative and ambitious learning experiences.
  • Monitoring, assess, and track progress, using data to inform planning.
  • Ensure every pupil makes strong academic gains.

Skills and requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Experience teaching in Key Stage 2, ideally in upper KS2.
  • A creative and reflective approach to teaching and learning.

Confirmed role details

  • This is a full-time position, initially offered on a fixed-term contract until July 2026, with a strong commitment from the school to make the role permanent from September 2026.
