What the role involves

  • Also collaborate with teaching assistants, colleagues, and parents to ensure all pupils receive consistent and personalised support.
  • Deliver, and assess high-quality lessons across the Year 6 curriculum.
  • Delivering engaging literacy, numeracy, and foundation subject lessons.
  • Preparing pupils effectively for SATs and secondary school transition.
  • Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all pupils, including SEND and EAL.
  • Maintaining a structured, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment.

Skills and requirements

  • Relevant teaching, classroom, childcare, QTS, SEN, safeguarding, or early-years experience may be required.

Candidate fit

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Have experience teaching Upper Key Stage 2, ideally Year 6.
  • Demonstrate strong classroom management and organisational skills.

  • We are seeking an experienced, enthusiastic, and committed Year 6 Teacher to join a supportive and inclusive primary school in Crawley, starting as soon as possible.
