Youth Floating Support Worker
Job description
The Support Worker position centres on supporting young people to develop independent living skills, including budgeting, tenancy management and life skills. It would suit someone who can bring strong professional approach to the role.
Who the work supports
This is an initial maternity cover position, offering a fantastic opportunity to make a real and lasting impact. Provide tailored, person-centred support to young people (aged 16-25) to help them access and maintain accommodation.
How support shows up
Supporting young people to develop independent living skills, including budgeting, tenancy management and life skills. Complete assessments, develop support plans and carry out regular reviews to track progress. Delivering practical, hands-on support and advocacy with housing providers and external agencies.

What needs to be in place
- Social Work, Youth & Community Work) plus 6 months’ experience.
- Full, current driving licence and access to a car (insured for business use).
- Experience of risk assessment and safety planning.
