Youth Justice Operational Manager

Youth Justice Operational Manager focuses on supporting and deputise for the service manager in the operational management of the youth justice service.

What the role involves

• Supporting and deputise for the Service Manager in the operational management of the Youth Justice Service.
• Lead a multi-agency team delivering prevention, out-of-court and court-directed interventions.
• Provide robust management oversight, supervision and performance management to ensure high-quality case management and interventions.
• Implement service development plans and contribute to quality assurance, audits and continuous improvement activity.
• Ensure services meet National Key Performance Indicators and statutory Youth Justice standards.
• Leading funded projects, contribute to external funding bids.

Skills and requirements

• Strong knowledge of Youth Justice legislation, safeguarding, restorative justice and risk management practices.
• Experience of partnership working with agencies including Police, Probation, Health, Education and Social Care.
• Experience managing budgets, performance reporting and service improvement initiatives.
• Deliver services to performance targets and deadlines.
