What the role involves
- Identify and gather the correct parts required for assembly operations (Op 10.
- Inspect components to ensure they match the bill of materials and are free from defects.
- Preparing parts in line with work orders and engineering drawings for fitting and welding.
- Carry out mechanical assembly and fitting of components, from small parts to larger machine sections.
- Operate welding equipment (MIG and basic TIG), ensuring correct parameters are applied.
- Assemble pipework, including pneumatic and general pipe systems.
Skills and requirements
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in an Assembly Fitter.
- Level 3 Apprenticeship or NVQ in Mechanical Engineering, Fabrication & Welding, or equivalent.
- Experience using a wide range of hand and air tools (grinders, drills, die grinders, etc.).
- Welding experience (MIG essential, basic TIG desirable).
Confirmed role details
- Monday – Friday, 6:00am – 2:15pm.
