Building Inspector focuses on conduct comprehensive site inspections and regulatory assessments – perform building inspections at various construction stages to ensure compliance with building regulations.

What the role involves

• Conduct comprehensive site inspections and regulatory assessments – Perform building inspections at various construction stages to ensure compliance with Building Regulations.
• Provide consultancy services – Produce comprehensive inspection reports, compliance certificates, and regulatory approval documentation.
• Maintain accurate records ensuring traceability and compliance with local authority requirements.
• Assist clients with Building Regulations consultancy advice where SOCOTEC is not acting as the Registered Building Control Approver.

Skills and requirements

• Professional qualification and regulatory registration at senior level – Hold membership of RICS, CABE or equivalent (or be qualified by suitable experience).
• Develop skills, and demonstrate compliance through registration as an RBI at an appropriate level (3G/3H).
• Ensure CPD requirements are met to broaden.
• Deliver excellent client care across all interactions and project engagements.
