MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN
Job description
This Maintenance Technician opportunity in Bristol at Stoke Gifford Train Maintenanc is built around actively participate in the ongoing continuous improvement activities for maintenance processes and maintenance procedures that support all depot and fleet activities. It would suit someone who can bring careful technical judgement and practical problem-solving to the role.
Who the work supports
Experience of working a 24/7 shift roster in a modern rolling stock maintenance depot environment. Powered plant and tools – bogie drop, cranes, air systems / 110v tools.
How support shows up
Actively participate in the ongoing continuous improvement activities for maintenance processes and maintenance procedures that support all depot and fleet activities. Supporting the delivery of new trains and undertake the maintenance acceptance processes. Supporting site-by-site logistics operations while learning systems, routines, and working standards.
What needs to be in place
- Modern fault finding and repair techniques using pc-based laptops and remote train diagnostics.
- Extensive experience of modern maintenance management systems (MMS) and associated reliability and available trend analysis.
- Ability to investigate complex electrical and mechanical faults and write detailed reports.
Job details
- Support the Maintenance Team Leaders and Shift Production Managers in the delivery of the production plan.
- This is a permanent, days‑only position, supporting the delivery of a safe, reliable and high‑performing fleet.
- Work model: Remote.
