Maintenance Technician (Electrical)

The Maintenance Technician (Electrical) position centres on carrying out all type of Civil, Electrical and Mechanical Maintenance work within the capacity of an Electrical Technician with or without direct supervision. It would suit someone who can bring supporting site-by-site logistics operations while learning systems, routines, and working standards to the role.

Where the technical work sits

• Carry out all type of Civil, Electrical and Mechanical Maintenance work within the capacity of an Electrical Technician with or without direct supervision.
• Read drawings and carry out fault finding and repairs without supervision.
• Carry out Planned Maintenance and defect repair work on a range of electrical equipment which includes Switchgear, Transformers, Pumps, Fans, VSDs, lighting and associated control.

Technical requirements

• Current Edition of the IEE Wiring Regulations(th Edition are Current).
• Recognised Electrical Apprenticeship.
• Any other duties within the capacity of a Maintenance Technician as required by the Line Managers.

Practical details

• Ability to carry out electrical installation work to current legislation.
• Carry out any work of a manual, semi-skilled or skilled nature of any type of trade description (including “out of trade” work) under the instructions of the Shift Manager.

• Knowledge of current Health & Safety legislation.
