Maintenance Technician focuses on will support a busy site with planned and reactive maintenance, with occasional travel to other locations and participation in an out-of-hours rota.

What the role involves

  • Will support a busy site with planned and reactive maintenance, with occasional travel to other locations and participation in an out-of-hours rota.
  • Carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and reactive electrical works.
  • Perform first-level fault finding and repairs on equipment, building assets, and specialist medical equipment.
  • Support the wider Facilities team with mechanical and plumbing tasks as needed.
  • Complete minor improvement works.
  • Conduct statutory checks, including emergency lighting, PAT testing, and fire alarm support.

Skills and requirements

  • Recognised Trade Apprenticeship.
  • City & Guilds Level 1, 2, 3 in Electrical Engineering (18th Edition) or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in electrical maintenance, ideally within a healthcare, residential, or similar environment.
  • Strong understanding of electrical safety and compliance.
