Maintenance Technician

Maintenance Technician focuses on ensure uptime, and availability of the installed automated equipment onsite.

What the role involves

• Ensure uptime, and availability of the installed automated equipment Onsite.
• Repair of all Onsite automated equipment.
• Carry out preventative and corrective maintenance.
• Fault-finding and diagnosis of mechanical and/or electrical faults.
• Respond to automation faults and breakdowns in a timely manner ensuring minimal downtime.
• Ensure optimum levels of Onsite spare parts are maintained.

Skills and requirements

• Recognised Engineering Apprenticeship, ONC or equivalent qualification in engineering discipline [multiskilled preferable].
• Experience of working with automated material handling systems.
• Capable of understanding Mechanical, Electrical and/or Electronic technical manuals and drawings.
• Basic understanding of control systems and techniques.

• The Maintenance Technician role directly reports to the Maintenance Shift Manager, while being also mentored by the Senior Engineer.
• Be working on a 4 on 4 off shift pattern (rotation of days/nights).
